The land belonging to a private owner along the Tonle Sap river at KM 15 on the RN 5 is seriously damaged by erosion resulting from a combination of slope stability, wave action, surface run-off, infiltration…
Several designs and works had been made, but the bank still settles and slides.
KCEC has been invited in late 2004 to make a study and a new design of the bank protection works.
Works done by KCEC :
– Topographic and soil survey
– Hydraulic study (surface water, infiltration)
– Slope stability analysis
– Design of bank protections works (maccaferri gabions retaining wall and geotextile membrane).
– Cost estimate (Approx. 300,000 US$).
